Porterbrook’s Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre
EP Team is delighted to announce the commencement of a new contract to deliver a range of operational services for Rail Live 24, held at Long Marston Rail Centre. The UK’s largest outdoor rail exhibition takes place on 19th & 20th June and attracts over 250 live exhibitors and over 6,000 visitors. The site at Long Marston is the largest and most extensive rail storage facility in the UK.
EP Team has been contracted to produce and deliver a comprehensive traffic and parking management plan, provide support with on-site stewarding and wayfinding, as well as the build and break for hundreds of exhibition stands.
After significant challenges in 2023 with traffic management and parking operations with a previous supplier, the event organisers, Bauer Media approached EP Team with a view to streamlining traffic management operations to enable the show’s thousands of visitors to access and exit the site efficiently with minimum disruption to the surrounding road network.
EP Team have been providing traffic management planning, consultancy, and delivery for over 30 years and provide trained, experienced staff to carry out the process from start to finish. The company has supplied bespoke traffic management consultancy, planning and delivery for many high-profile events, most recently, The Commonwealth Games, Liam Gallagher at Knebworth and Canary Wharf Group as well ongoing contracts to supply traffic management for Wembley Stadium, Edgbaston Cricket Ground, and events at MK Bowl.
Preparation for traffic management planning has already begun and EP Team will deliver the traffic management & parking plan on 19th & 20th June, ensuring exhibitors and event industry professionals alike can access the site safely and efficiently, and enjoy what promises to be another fantastic showcase of rail industry equipment, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities for thousands of delegates.

Some impressive tech on display at the @RAIL #RailLive2023 today - including digital temporary speed restriction signs, composite platforms from and even a @BostonDynamics robot dog! (I have no idea whether the @BTPDogs met robodog...).
I would encourage you to get around and talk to as many people as you can, because in my visit I genuinely have spoken to people I would never have seen before. That’s one of the joys of this dynamic, and it’s why I’m a real passionate supporter of Rail Live.
